NEITH DIVISION MEETING LOG EXCERPT

Participants:
1. Callum Andrews
2. GRELL
Foreword: GRELL requested a meeting with Callum Andrews regarding a modification project towards Object 71, otherwise known as Pixie Guns.

<Begin Excerpt>

CALLUM: So what was it you said you wanted to enhance?

GRELL: A very volatile object known as "Pixie Guns". These can be very powerful weapons if they weren't so unpredictable. I believe that we can change that.

CALLUM: I can see why, I've read the object file myself. But are you confident in your group's capabilities for damage control? They are very volatile after all.

GRELL: No worries. We can take it if we have enough resources, which we have.

CALLUM: I suppose I will do my best to assist your project here. My powers aren't limitless, but I'll see what can I do.

Project Sekhmet

DO NOT SHARE OR REPRODUCE THIS FILE WITHOUT EXPRESS PERMISSION FROM NEITH DIVISION

Project Sekhmet is a Project led by Task Force Iris with the purpose of modifying RAI-71, commonly known "Pixie Guns" to be safer and more reliable to use. Currently, RAI-71 is a gun with exceptionally destructive bullets. However, the gun is incredibly inaccurate, along with carrying a risk of exploding for every usage. Not only that, the firing rate of RAI-71 is very low, making them unable to be used for fast operations, as well as limited uses due to only being able to shoot 10 times before running out of ammo.

Project Sekhmet aims to remove all these flaws that the asset carries and more, as RAI-71 carries enormous potential for multiple sectors if these flaws are fixed. Currently, plans are already being discussed regarding future usages RAI-71 would have.

Project Sekhmet is currently organized at B.B.A.R. official headquarters at Zone 11, due to it's proximity to Backrooms Robotics Level 11 Headquarters, as Backrooms Robotics is the main benefactor of this project.

TEST ID: SK-05-20423

OBJECTIVE: Test if equally opened exhaust ports of RAI-71 would improve accuracy.

METHOD: The asset was dismantled and the design flaw regarding the partially blocked exhaust port was fixed. Tom Williams, a Field Agent of the B.B.A.R, volunteered to fire the gun towards a target board made of titanium.

RESULT: The bullet hit the target accurately.

CONCLUSION: Equally opened exhaust ports allowed for equal thrust to the bullet, causing the trajectory of the bullet to be accurate.

Subject: Shipment Delays

Many apologies for this but shipment of blast proof containers will be delayed. There has been a recent breakthrough in one of our projects lately and the CEO is putting that in top priority. "Valuable metals such as these cannot be used on secondary projects at the time being" he says.

Well I do understand the delays, we will also have to delay several upcoming tests as a result. The deadline for Project Sekhmet will have to be postponed.

TEST ID: SK-06-59048

OBJECTIVE: Test if Almond Water will reduce reactivity of "Pixie Dust".

METHOD: Pixie Dust was directly extracted out from RAI-71 and purified. It was then dipped in Almond Water inside a blast proof box. A Firesalt Crystal was then dropped into the water.

RESULT: An immediate explosion occurred creating a blast that was heard all throughout the Headquarters of the B.B.A.R. The Almond water and the container were completely vaporized while the walls of the testing chamber were scorched.

CONCLUSION: Almond Water does not reduce reactivity of Pixie Dust.

The Daily Rooms

Loud explosion heard in the vicinity of the General Headquarters of the Backrooms Bureau of Administration and Research.

On the day of ██-██-████, at ██:██ on M.E.G. Standard Time, a loud explosion was heard near the General Headquarters of the B.B.A.R. Panic and unrest were inflicted on the citizens of Level 11 for several hours, as fears of an attack upon the level were in their minds. Immediately, the U.E.C. closed off Base Thebes completely from wanderer access a few hours after hearing the blast. Several other major settlements also went into lockdown and operatives were sent out to investigate the origins to the blast.

Fortunately, the B.B.A.R. Headquarters was undamaged. After further questioning and investigation, the source of the blast was found out to be from a suicide bomber working for the Reverence. The suicide bomber was presumably charged with destroying either the office of Alexander Robinson, the Director of the B.B.A.R., or key databases located at the Institution of Research and Technology, as eyewitnesses stated that the bomber was heading in that direction. Thankfully, the bomb detonated early in one of the B.B.A.R.'s highly reinforced underground tunnels, causing minimal damage.

More information regarding the event is still being uncovered, as the identity of the suicide bomber is currently under investigation. Additionally, the B.B.A.R. has also refused outside help involved in the investigation, claiming that to do so would require them to hand out classified information regarding their group.

CALLUM: What was that incident about? It took nearly all our efforts to cover it up! And even then, these other parties are onto our scent like wolves. We cannot afford this to happen again.

GRELL: Don't blame ME. This one was completely unpredictable. We did not know this outcome would happen.

CALLUM: Well you should have at LEAST taken precautions! Perhaps have soundproof walls for a start. If word of this gets out to other parties, they will capitalize on this. WE. CANNOT. ALLOW. THAT. TO. HAPPEN.

GRELL: AND YOU THINK I DON'T KNOW THAT? I also have been doing what I can to ensure secrecy! I know that if some terrorist group like the Reverence gets even a nugget of information regarding this, absolute carnage would ensue!

CALLUM: …whatever, it's pointless to argue anyway. What's important is to make sure something like this never happens again.

TEST ID: SK-09-37492

OBJECTIVE: Test if Lucky O’ Milk will reduce reactivity of "Pixie Dust".

METHOD: Pixie Dust was directly extracted out from RAI-71 and purified. It was dipped into a bowl of Lucky O’ Milk and put into a blast proof box similar to Test SK-06-59048. A Firesalt crystal was then dropped into the bowl.

RESULT: Flames sprouted and spread throughout the bowl for 10 minutes before being extinguished. No explosions occurred.

CONCLUSION: Lucky O' Milk reduces reactivity of Pixie Dust.

Participants:
1. Daniel Lance
2. Katie Lee

<Begin Excerpt>

DANIEL: Now lowering the Firesalt crystal into the liquid.

A robotic arm holding a shard of a Firesalt crystal was lowered into a blast-proof box containing the mixture. After the last experiment destroyed the previous arm, the new one that replaced it was fitted with blast-proof armor.

KATIE: Are you sure we want to do this? The last time we tried an experiment with this powder, it was a complete disaster.

DANIEL: We can't just disrespect orders from the higher-ups now can we? Plus, what are we if we can't take risks?

KATIE: Oh well, you're probably right. Let's just get this over with.

TEST ID: SK-15-63840

OBJECTIVE: Test if inserting Lucky O’ Milk into the cylinder of RAI-71 will prevent explosions.

METHOD: A small container was attached to the cylinder of the gun that pumped Lucky O’ Milk into it. 5 guns were given the treatment. Multiple volunteers, wearing blast proof equipment, fired the guns.

RESULT: No explosions occurred during the firing of the guns. 7 cases of fire sprouting out of the gun happened, but were easily extinguished.

CONCLUSION: Inserting Lucky O’ Milk into the cylinders of RAI-71 prevented explosions, but the asset was still not completely safe to use.

TEST ID: SK-19-28495

OBJECTIVE: Test if replacing ejector rod will increase firing rate of RAI-71.

METHOD: The ejector rod of RAI-71 was removed and replaced with a different rod. A volunteer then fired the gun in quick succession.

RESULT: The bullets were successfully fired in quick succession. However, after after firing the seventh bullet, the gun barrel exploded.

CONCLUSION: Replacing the ejector rod increased firing rate of RAI-71, but the durability of the gun barrel was unable to keep up with the firing rate and shattered.

Well, we would need several shipments of reinforced titanium gun barrels if possible. Thanks for the offer.

GRELL

TEST ID: SK-23-48503

OBJECTIVE: Test if replacing gun barrel will improve durability of the barrel.

METHOD: The barrel of RAI-71 was replaced with a barrel layered with Kevlar and Titanium. A volunteer then fired the gun in quick succession.

RESULT: All the bullets were successfully fired in quick succession. The barrel showed no signs of damage

CONCLUSION: Replacing the barrel of RAI-71 allowed the durability of the barrel to keep up with the firing rate of the gun.

TEST ID: SK-26-58937

OBJECTIVE: Test if replacing gun cylinder would allow for increased capacity and remove chances of fire sprouting from the gun.

METHOD: The cylinder was replaced with a larger model, which was also airtight to prevent oxygen from entering the cylinder. A volunteer then fired all the bullets in the cylinder.

RESULT: All the bullets were successfully fired in quick succession. No cases of fire occurred.

CONCLUSION: Replacing the cylinder allowed for increased capacity and prevented fires from sprouting out of the gun.
