At 03:11, the particle accelerator was activated, which marked the beginning of the 5-minute trial. At 03:13, scientists noticed an abnormal V-shaped recovery¹² on the power supply. This was followed by several more power V-shaped recoveries in the next minute, eventually leading to the explosion at 03:14. Investigators suspect that the loss of power on the particle accelerator due to overwhelming power demands caused electromagnetic containment of the proton within the accelerator to fail, leading to it colliding with the accelerator walls at nearly the speed of light. The collision caused a microsingularity to form, which quickly collapsed due to Hawking radiation in an explosive manner. Following the explosion, fires erupted in nearby buildings. While the S.O.C. attempted a rescue operation, the general lack of emergency response infrastructure and personnel on Level 11 inhibited large-scale operations. Since the general environment of the Backrooms is much less accident-prone than the Frontrooms, it should be expected that when one does happen, we would be completely unprepared. As of now, hundreds are still trapped within the rubble of the Euclid Device lab or in burning buildings.

Director of the Euclid Device Research Project, Wilson Pottinger, stated that the research team "did anticipate that something like this could happen and took certain precautions, such as testing at night where energy is in excess." However, he did note that "there was an underestimation on the sheer amount of energy needed to sustain the particle accelerator." The public was also outraged by this incident. Herbert Cooper, who lived just narrowly beyond the fire, stated, "How could they just build a highly explosive lab next to our houses? This is next-level corporate greed!" The C.T.G. blamed the incident on poor management and insists on moving future development away from highly populated areas.

Level 314 remains the only successful project done with the Euclid Device.

The Euclid Device has long been worked on by the B.N.T.G., achieving feats such as the construction of Level 314. Despite initial successes, the development is riddled by technical difficulties from start to finish, the primary one being the difficulty of achieving high levels of accuracy due to the immense power demands of the particle accelerator. The device's development team has been in debt since last year, and the auction was expected by many for quite a long time.

While all other groups stepped back, Boveta has taken on the challenge that is considered impossible: to repair the Euclid Device. But how can a 2-year-old group take on this task? Well, the answer is they can't. While state-owned media have called this purchase "a great leap forward for the nation" and "a pivotal moment for humanity in the Backrooms", the difficult truth is that the poor conditions of the Backrooms inhibit the completion of the Euclid Device. Boveta's National Grid is nowhere near being able to power the Euclid Device. Even the full power supply of the Level 11 grid, the most advanced grid in the Backrooms, was unable to keep up with the Device's humongous power demand. In fact, analysts calculate that the power needed to operate the Euclid Device could not be obtained in the Backrooms for one million to ten million years.

So why did Boveta purchase the Euclid Device? One obvious explanation is that they think they could complete it, a vain fantasy that they would have to realize sooner or later. Another more likely explanation is that it was a move to attract attention from other groups. Since their foundation, they have remained quiet in the news. In fact, our study states that 93% of Level 11 citizens don't even know about Boveta. Experts say the nation is likely suffering a rapid population decline due to poor living standards, causing them to make a desperate attempt to get onto the News. Experts say this is a sign that the Bovetan Collapse could happen next week. However, one must not be fooled by the propaganda of a dictatorial regime, as there is undeniable proof of Boveta's human rights abuses.

In an unexpected turn of events, Boveta has completed the Euclid Device using a newly discovered substance called Blue Gel. While the discovery report of Blue Gel was posted 5 days ago, it was largely unnoticed until today, and no one expected it to be used for the Euclid Device. The NAML stated that Blue Gel's property as a zero-resistance proton conductor allowed it to be a natural proton medium for the particle accelerator, removing the need for high-powered powered electronmagnets.

Bovetan National Development Administrator Jason Rayne has given examples of applications of the newly completed Euclid Device, such as infinitely strong infrastructure and high-power voidstone power plants. However, Unbound experts have warned about the weaponization of the Euclid Device against the general population of the Backrooms, stating: "Boveta could use the Euclid Device to inflict mass terror on populated areas". In fact, some are even saying that the Euclid Device could become the first ever superweapon within the Backrooms. This is especially worrying since researchers estimate that a Bovetan collapse will occur anytime next week, suggesting they could be using a war as a last-ditch effort to maintain national unity. If that's the case, now might be our last chance to unite and destroy Boveta once and for all. Groups like the B.N.T.G. and the M.E.G. need to start taking action instead of siding with Boveta like cowards.

The battery pack created was a 4s1p battery pack that had a mass of 200 grams and was able to supply 519Wh of energy from fully charged to empty, giving it the highest energy density of any battery known to humanity. The cherry on top is that the battery does not lose performance over charge cycles, which allows it to be used indefinitely. This invention was based on an earlier discovery of Blue Gel's property to turn into both a cathode and an anode depending on the direction of flow. This allowed Gelco to create a battery cell by charging what they call a base cell, a cell that has regular Blue Gel for both the cathode and anode, which causes the cathodes and anodes to form. To create the electrolyte, Gelco used the proven Firesalt and Liquid Pain reaction. This prompted some scientists to warn about potential toxic and explosive Blue Gel Battery failures. When the relevant emergency response crew arrived, they discovered high concentrations of hydrogen cyanide throughout the building. This, combined with the explosion, matches what is expected to happen during a Blue Gel battery failure, leading investigators to rule that as the cause of the fire. The fire was put out at 07:12 today. Survivor Willy Forrest, who lived just a floor below the explosion, has said that he "saw the door on the fire exit blazing" and that "the air made his lungs feel as if they were on fire".

This apartment was one of the first built within Boveta, thus it lacked many of the advanced safety features of modern apartments. Luckily, the explosion occurred on the topmost floor, which gave residents living on lower floors a precious opportunity. The fire was put out at 07:36, but the structural stability of the building was severely compromised. Thus, Bovetan authorities have called for the building to be demolished and rebuilt with the Euclid Device. According to firefighters, the incident "did not go as we were told to expect during drills" and "could've escalated badly if it weren't for the explosion to have occurred at the top floor".

According to National Development Administrator Jason Rayne, the Bovetan government had taken significant measures to prevent such incidents. Despite that, battery mishandling is still a major safety hazard to the entirety of Boveta. Thus, many have proposed to abolish Blue Gel batteries entirely and switch back to lithium-ion batteries. However, the Bovetan government has maintained that a better policy would be to create more safety regulations on the creation of Blue Gel batteries, as well as increasing public awareness of safe battery handling.

Boveta National Congress

Yesterday, the second national progress report of 2019 was held at the Boveta National Congress. The report concluded with groundbreaking data about Blue Gel and ambitious new quotas set for the next six months.

Recently, the saying "Powered by Blue Gel" has become a popular buzzword for many electronic products. Indeed, the highlight of this report is the new data and plans for Blue Gel production and consumption. After reviewing the statistics from the progress report, it was found that between the first 2019 report and this one, Blue Gel production has increased fourfold. This means that Blue Gel is on track to be the most available object in the Backrooms. By 2021, Blue Gel should be completely mainstreamed within every Boveta territory and be a staple in electronics everywhere.

This undoubtedly caused a huge increase in demand for Blue Gel, which has pushed Gelco to increase the supply of Blue Gel by working with the Bovetan government to construct even more Zephyr colonies in Level 614. In fact, an unexpected guest arrived at the report this year, Solomon Lowry, the CEO of Gelco. This was the first time a private sector firm showed up at a National Progress Report. According to Lowry, Gelco plans to assist Boveta in completing the Zephyr 8 colony by the end of 2020, nearly 8 months before the original planned date.

The Bovetan Government has also planned to introduce more regulations to the production of Blue Gel, which is especially significant after the fire 2 months ago that led to 12 deaths. Especially since the Bovetan Government planned to leverage Blue Gel's powerful properties into an even more diverse range of applications, Boveta has expressed the need to label all Blue Gel batteries and increase consumer awareness.

Scientists have discovered a way to initiate a runaway detonation of Blue Gel by purifying it and adding Onyx Black¹³. This new weapon can release up to 100 times the amount of energy as a regular Blue Gel battery failure, as well as release copious amounts of toxic Onyx Black fumes. During the first explosion test, the weapon successfully terminated the Hound used for testing as well as destroyed the entire testing facility, killing 34 scientists. The brilliant Unbound engineering of the bomb allowed it to penetrate even the powerful walls of the entire testing chamber. Unbound leaders have expressed disbelief at the sheer effectiveness of Blue Gel as a weapon, saying, "This will be our key to destroying the Bovetan Imperialists and the Legion fascists."

The Homeland Defense force has made their intentions clear to use Black Gel as a "powerful weapon to annihilate Boveta, Sanctuary City, and Maven City" and "make the Unbound the dominant force of the Backrooms". The Unbound leaders have provided heavy funding for the construction of the first Black Gel mass production plant, which the Bovetan government condemned. Boveta has warned the U.E.C. of sanctions and trade embargoes if the Black Gel production continues. However, the great leaders of the Unbound have no plans on retreating to the petty warnings of the imperialists. In fact, military experts have said that the creation of the Black Gel weapon could mean that Boveta would collapse next week.

Just a day after the Unbound built the first Blue Gel weapon, Boveta announced the Unbound would be banned from buying all objects containing Blue Gel from Boveta and forced the B.N.T.G., the only other Blue Gel producer, to reluctantly do the same. Boveta stated that this was an act to "protect humanity from the U.E.C.," which "poses a security threat", an ironic statement considering Boveta is declared as the greatest threat to the safe development of humanity by the Unbound.

While the action alone is outrageously selfish as it disregards the development of humanity for their own petty gains, what should anger you is that the B.N.T.G. complied with Boveta's aggressive actions. This is not their first offense, though, as the B.N.T.G. has repeatedly sided with Boveta rather than the Unbound. This could potentially mean that the B.N.T.G., Boveta, and potentially the M.E.G. are forming a coalition against the U.E.C. and its allies. Since 2016, the B.N.T.G. and the M.E.G.'s trade with Boveta has been on a steady rise. Since the creation of the Blue Gel battery, its trade has only increased exponentially. To make matters more terrifying, there were reports that Boveta could also be seeking to be the sole owner of Blue Gel weapons to inflict terror upon the Backrooms. Boveta has already begun implementing Blue Gel to power weapons with high energy demands, showing that they are more than willing to use Blue Gel for military applications.

Overall, the sanction was an action demonstrating the weakness and incapability of the highly unstable regime of Boveta, especially their tendency to senselessly sanction other groups without any prior warning. These sanctions could be an indicator of Boveta's internal instability, suggesting that their collapse could happen at any time, potentially even next week.

As of now, the B.N.T.G. is the first and only member of the Blue Gel pact, but more groups are predicted to join indefinitely.

The pact's foundation mostly originates from the recent U.E.C. test of Blue Gel weapons and the ever-growing demand for Blue Gel. According to Administrative Adviser Geovanni Wallis: "There is an urgent need to standardize Blue Gel production." He also revealed new information regarding the members and what happens if you violate the terms of the pact. "A member of the Blue Gel Pact can either be a certified extractor, one who has proven their capabilities to extract Blue Gel safely, or a regular member, who is allowed to purchase Blue Gel without restrictions." Wallis went on to say that "The B.N.T.G. is a certified extractor due to their ability to extract Blue Gel at a rate that is almost on par with Boveta itself."

Daily Rooms field journalist Mark Strait then asked Wallis about the consequences of violating the pact, to which Wallis responded: "If any group is to violate the terms of the Blue gel, they are then Redlisted. Once you are on the Redlist, there is no getting off of it; there is no redemption. Groups on the Redlist are banned from producing, buying, selling, or trading Blue Gel. If they are caught doing any of those activities while on the Redlist, they will be dealt with accordingly."

This prompted the President to come up with the solution of creating New Zephyr, a large-scale merge of the Zephyr Outposts. New Zephyr is a town acting as a central operations center for harvesting Blue Gel and housing for extraction employees. The new town is expected to become a pillar for increasing Blue Gel production efficiency: the organized structure of the town allows more effective communication between various plants and logistics systems, allowing more efficient transport to major levels. The Blue Gel Pact has announced that they have switched their central meeting hall to New Zephyr, which is symbolic of more equal operations between the member groups.

On December 1, President Pottinger, alongside representatives of all 6 member groups of the Blue Gel Pact, personally oversaw the commissioning of New Zephyr. The president said he was "shocked by the astonishing efficiency of the town" and encouraged local managers to "expand the purpose of the town beyond harvesting Blue Gel". Head Administrator Jason Rayne stated that the next step for the town should be to help the local population, named the Zealous, by providing space for them to meditate.
