Level 163 - "Amidst The Void"
rating: +26+x

"Vertigo is anguish itself. I am on a precipice, and I understand that the possibility of throwing myself over exists."

— Jean-Paul Sartre, Being and Nothingness (1943)

A view over the concrete edge.

Level 163 manifests as an expansive void containing various high-rise apartments suspended within a thick, seemingly endless fog. It is unknown where the abyss of the level leads to, if anywhere.

Due to the distance between the skyscrapers, one is unable to travel further than the building one initially appears on (designated the "main" building"). Theoretically, if one managed to enter Level 163 with something to keep themselves in the air (such as a hang-glider or parachute), it would be possible to explore the other buildings, although there are no records of whether this has been done nor if it has been successful.

All entrances to Level 163 are done through a singular elevator located in the center of the building, serving as the sole entrance to the level. Upon exiting the elevator, the doors will shut and it will rapidly descend downwards, never to be seen again. Besides the cubical structure containing the elevator, various AC units, and electrical equipment, the roof of the building is empty. The floor of the roof is composed of solid concrete.

The air of the level is cold; a constant, audible breeze flows through and between the skyscrapers, chilling the level significantly. The wind's strength is strong enough to blow small objects off over the ledge, but not strong enough to force a person over. Level 163 is devoid of any other meteorological phenomenon such as rain or snow.

Whilst within the level many wanderers have reported sensations of the desire to jump off of the main building. Such desires are easily suppressible, although one should take its presence into account when approaching the edges.

The fate of those who fall into the void of Level 163 is unknown. Although it is commonly assumed that jumping into the abyss would lead to one's death, many suggest that the level is an offshoot or extension of The Blue Channel and that one will enter it after falling for a certain amount of time, although this claim is unconfirmed.
