Level C-44 is the 44th level of Cluster C of the Backrooms.

Description:

Level C-44 consists of an extremely long corridor, with countless rooms distributed on both sides.

Although the corridor resembles a hospital in style, the interiors and furnishings of the rooms on either side are all uniquely designed bathrooms. So far, no two identical rooms have been observed within Level C-44.

All rooms are guaranteed to contain a bathtub; notably, neither direct visual observation from wanderers nor device recordings can reveal the interior of bathtubs. Specifically, the insides of all bathtubs are completely cloaked with a diffuse, thick visual anomaly that renders them unobservable.

Wanderers who directly look at the bathtub will invariably experience uncontrollable anxiety and panic, though other harmful effects have been observed. However, touching the bathtub is strongly discouraged, because there is currently not even a single reported case of anything happening "after touching the bathtub"; contact with the bathtub may still prove hazardous for wanderers.

Although Level C-44 has no supplies, it also poses no substantive danger. Thus, for weary or lost wanderers, taking a brief pause in this level to regroup is entirely acceptable. Likewise, well-rested wanderers are also encouraged to stay in Level C-44 for some light rest.
