Anomalous broadcast
We recovered the footage of our "Emergency Alert Scenario" broadcast. The EAS was broadcast to every television in the Backrooms network and the giant screens present on level 11, until it was hijacked by what we strongly suspect to be our aggressors. The broadcast was meant to inform, prevent, and reassure the public, but it completely backfired on us. We believe the broadcast of our aggressor may possess anomalous effects as reports say that this broadcast caused mass hysteria, later followed by paranoia and distrust, leading many people to turn against each other.

[Unknown Announcer]: (talking through the street speakers) How many of you have died already? How many more people have to die before you realize your leaders abandoned you? Why do you sacrifice yourselves for people who don't have your best interest at heart? They abused your loyalty and left you all behind to rot, to bear the full weight of their consequences alone. So right now, right this very moment, you need to make a decision. Continue to fight and die… or… lay down your weapons and surrender peacefully… Give yourself up, and god will forgive you.

[Beta 2]: Beta 2 actual reporting.

[Overseer K]: Beta 2, priority comms only, where is your C.O?

[Beta 2]: Chief of Security Beta Actual is KIA, I am the acting C.O.

[Overseer K]: Copy, Beta 2, give me a sitrep.

[Beta 2]: Explosions hit the fortified walls on the four wings and the command center! We have set up improvised fortified walls and scattered our MRAPs on each wing.

[Overseer K]: Copy. We just left the M.E.G. embassy with multiple reinforcements coming to your location. Secure your personnel and defend your position!

[Beta 2]: Fuck! What was that?!… I-I'm sorry, but you need to hurry! Our defenses will collapse very soon. Strange fighter jets are destroying our MRAPs from above and hordes of hostile entities are making their way into the North wing! The remaining improvised fortified walls won't stand any longer and we are running low on ammo!

[Beta 4]: Beta 4 actual reporting… Entities just breached the East wing… I am badly wounded…

[Beta 3]: Beta 3 actual reporting! Entities have breached the West Wing! We're going to get surrounded!

[Beta 2]: All teams! Cut your losses! Fall back and regroup to the underground tunnel. Bring as many civilians and personnel as you can.

[Overseer K]: Beta 2, DO NOT execute, that's an order!

[Beta 5]: We can't afford to waste any more time. Okay, everyone, trust me and drop your weapons. We surrender.

[Overseer K]: Hello? Overseer K speaking.

[Unidentified caller]: Don't go to Base Beta, the area is still under enemy control. Don't try to save everyone - you will end up killing yourself. Instead, meet us at the Rosemary Hotel in District 14. We have to discuss… between members of the resistance.

[Overseer K]: The resistance? There is such a thing?
