I'ma read this later
bro idk if the backrooms wiki is the best place to find people who don't like the word moist
You promised you'd take me there again some day… but you never did.
i find it really funny that u have written 1 of the scariest levels on the site and have decided 2 name it moist. this is a stomach
that bing said this is a really fun thought experiment !! its like traditional liminal horror but compressed 2 a 40 cubic foot space i like it

Interesting take on a $200/month apartment in New York City.
To be honest, Carson Allan Alexander signing his name three times on the same scrap of paper seems a bit odd and out of place. (A note of synchronicity: very few people spell it Allan, which is also my middle name, spelled that exact same way.) You get a +1 for originality, my friend and colleague.

Thank you for the +1!
Carson was unsure how long he would last inside of the "rug room", so he signed his notes as if it was his last. When he truly knew he was doomed, he put out his full name.
ANOTHER NOTE! "Allan", (spelled the exact same way) is *MY* middle name! What a funny coincidence.

the concept of the space being so small really freaks me out. i just got a few nitpicks tho
"On the room's ceiling is a standard exit sign and a small hole with no apparent end" this was already mentioned at the beginning of the level and repeating it is a bit odd
also the fact that there is no way to exit the level seems a bit weird to me. is it just impossible to reach that hole in the ceiling? or does reaching it and going thru it not do anything? if so, whats on the other side??
im going on a bit of a tangent. point is, i really liked the level. good job at at grossing me out, especially with that line about corpses.

hi!
sorry buddy, the reason for no vote is the not exit thing
Could you explain why? The level contains no known exit, as simple as that.
I exist for the sole purpose of writing this
well the truth is, I don't like the parts of a level having no exits, or no exit levels in general, because exit is always good, but if there is not exit, then it's not even a level (or remove the exit section if there is no exits for all I care)
There are a few minor cases of weird wording/sentence structure and a few grammar errors (no attempt to fix), but Carson's notes are what got the downvote from me. Parts of it work and parts of it just don't seem like something a person in Carson's position would write (no attempt to fix).
Some other minor things:
- The exit sign and hole are mentioned, separately, twice in the description. (fixed)
- The picture doesn't match with the description too well—feels much more open. I think darkening it instead of saying it was brightened would help.
- Why is the level called moist? It makes it somewhat awkward to refer to, so I see no reason why the M.E.G. wouldn't name it something easier to fit in an article. You say it's usually called "Moist" but then don't actually refer to it with that name again because, case in point, it's awkward to refer to. (fixed) (although the name still sounds a bit silly. ideally, it should be something you're actually willing to use in-article)
- Has no one with equipment that could help with reaching the hole ever entered? Say—someone with a backpack big enough to stand on and reach the hole with, a large knife, a rope and hook or really any helpful climbing gear, etc.? The level's entrances seem common enough that this should have happened at least once. If this isn't the case, I think it should be clarified, especially since people have managed to enter with equipment able to precisely measure the air temperature and humidity. (fixed, but at slight detriment to the concept)
Goodness, wikidot has a weird account system. What's this weird forum signature thi
I did enjoy the concept, though. Eager to see the level improved.

I have instead titled the page "Level moist, and changed some wording. I'll fix the image when I get home! Thx for the input second!!!!! even if I couldn't fix it well enough for an upvote, I'm glad u enjoyed the concept and left crit.

rip you if that happens

hi it is me aaron92
The whole idea of a level that is so cramped, yet also inescapable is just, terrifying. Really does feel like the Backrooms with this level, and not some random level bloated with entities and colonies.
+1 from me!!!
aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa
The level is pretty interesting and well done, love the concept!
(also i like the guy's watch)
