the story was supposed to be minimalist — if i kept on with any more i don't know, dears than i did, i woulda become monotonous
i actually kinda edited it down a tad from what i'd initially intended
all i really wanted to make sure to include going in was that scene where the kid points out that the hills all look the same. that put shivers down my spine as i wrote it because the hills really do just repeat like that

If you wanna use the theme from this page, it's at my sandbox site. It's pretty purpose-built, but if you wanna just take the CSS for a clean blue blurry theme, I don't mind.
