It needs to be a tad less mysterious and actually let us as the reader figure out how long they've actually been in there. The anomalous properties are pretty good even if it is basically a death timer. Anyways, good article, needs a bit more though although not really worth a full rewrite.

Also btw these objects set in the early levels are really good. I like that we can expand on Levels and give some anomalous properties. It makes this world feel fuller and more lively. Good job!
