This tale made me understand why you like Jane Meier. For someone like me that loves psychological and surreal horror, it was legitimately awesome. I never got bored while reading. Something was always going on without any unnecessary things. I'm glad there are people like you, doc, that write for this site and share their works of art.

while the intentionally indirect, french-english prose often veered too obscure for my taste, i felt like the base concept, enigmatic mood, and characterization make up for it
