Level 0 Community Project

Not everyone uses Discord…

And yet, DivineAtlas and myself need all of our friends and colleagues to be aware of and involved in the Level 0 Community Project. This includes feedback from the entire GLMP team, staff, and community. We are formulating the beginnings of such an endeavor.

Update: Our application to rewrite Level 0 has been accepted by the GLMP on the condition that Atlas and I keep it as a community project.

The due date for this rewrite to be in critique is December 23rd.

This Level 0 of tomorrow can be the community's Christmas gift to itself!

The Manila Room in 97 words:

The Manila Room is the saving grace of Level 0, a stationary oasis in a vast ocean of ever-changing yellow madness. Beige wallpaper gives the one-room sanctuary its name. Normally furnished with a table and few chairs, this nondescript room is remarkable in that people can interact with one another once inside. Veterans of the Backrooms, familiar with the more permanent no-clipping spots available, are capable of entering Level 0, stocking the room with helpful documentation, and returning safely. Finding the Manilla Room, more often than not, leads the wanderer to find a way to Level 1.

The next section of our Level 0 Community Project, "Can You Escape?" will pull our loose ends together. Here we find the psychological effects of nostalgia and liminality, the stench of soggy carpet and maddening hum-buzz of those lights…all working to impair the wanderer in their search for survival. There is helplessness and hopelessness.

"TO PREVAIL" is the goal! This segment will be about surviving. With, perhaps, a hint of futility, realizing that most wanderers trapped on Level 0 will not have an opportunity to read this page.

Each wanderer has but two chances to live: find a way to no-clip out or find the Manila Room.
