Canon Idea

I've had this idea for a while. I was thinking there could be some sort of G.O.I. that travels through the Backrooms and hosts story-like shows that seem almost magical. Well, one day, they start advertising they are going to have seven audience members take a part in the next show. The story in the show is that characters are racing to find objects with powerful affects throughout the Backrooms. If one finds all the items, it is said that that player will be rewarded by the items.
At first these characters who are playing believe it is just a performance, a game. But as they play, they realize it is quite real, and each player has something to gain and something to lose from winning.
I was thinking that readers could choose who gets what objects, vote for who should fail each round of the game, etc.
What are all of your opinions?
