I was thinking about writing a sublevel that speeds up the process of turning into entities, like the wretch and faceling process, and the guy who discovers it is planning to get married to a woman working for the M.E.G. that organizes parties that do that type of stuff. He and the party he is with gets lost and seperated in the level, and eventaully the others die/turn into entities, leaving just the guy who discovered it and one other person. He finally escapes after killing the other man who was turning into a wretch, and ends up in the Red Rooms (Is that sub-level part of the canon?).
I haven't decided yet what the background of the object is going to be, or what the level the sublevel would fall under, but I'll come up with something. The level would most likely fall under one of the higher danger classes.
The object, to be called "Tokens of ____", comes in so that she can some final moments with him, and I'm thinking I'll have that as a seperate tale. The object describes a variety of chocolate coins that don't melt and have the same consistency as a normal metal coin, but when bitten into breaks apart like normal chocolate. When consumed, based on the type, it creates a boost in a particular feeling, but over use by normal humans causes a dull in the feeling that the user is trying to boost. If used by a faceling, it will return their ability to feel it temporarily, but after a certain amount of time, the effect will wear off and a new one will have to be consumed. Eventually, however, the coins will stop working on the faceling, and they are stuck as one permanantly with no way of returning them to their human state.
If the woman who is to have married the man who discovered the sublevel finds him a faceling state, and already knew about the existence of these objects from her job, then she could get her hands on some of them, tinker around with them, and come up with one that restores all feelings and memories to the faceling, returning them temporarily to their human state.
I've really got to work out how the chronologicality of all of this, and how it fits together first before I get any drafts started. Right now I'm working on a series of tales introducing an entity and P.O.I. non-desolation canon related, but I'll get to it as soon as I can. I'll go ahead and make a sandbox for this stuff and get the basic outline of it ready.
Btw, perhaps you should include a list of users contributing, so you know how many people are writing for it.
